BittBoy have previously released various emulation devices which mimic the shape of the original GameBoy, as well as the GameBoy Advance. In the run up to Christmas, a new iteration is being released.
Dubbed the New BittBoy, this version supports micro SD cards, presumably so that you can add your own games to this down the line. Just now, it supports NES, GB and GBC games. However, it is more than possible that it can be tweaked to play games from other systems as well, although this is pure conjecture.
It remains to be seen if this is going to be a killer purchase this Christmas. It could be a great way to act as a stocking filler for those that want to play these older games on the go, but they don’t want to go down the route of buying an expensive, portable Raspberry Pi.We’ll try and get a review up as soon as possible (subject to stock levels).
In the mean time, you can read more about it, here.
