GRIP:Combat Racing has been a pretty big, runaway success across the three gaming platforms and PC. It has taken the best parts of various other racing games, like Wipeout, F-Zero and SW Episode 1 Racer and packaged it into a title that’s not only incredibly fast, but a joy to play.
It has been announced today that over the next few months, there’s going to be quite a few updates to the game. Some of these are simply bug fixes. However, come February, a team mode is being added to the game so you can team up with your friends and see how well you fare against others across the globe. In March 2019, there are going to be new cars released in the game. Just when you thought you had mastered the game, the devs are throwing in three new cars for you to master!
Of course, this won’t be the last of the updates, but it is good to see when developers have a set plan on how they’re going to improve upon a game. It’s also good that they’re staggering the updates and fixes, rather than trying to do it all in one go. We’ve seen that after the omnishambles that is Fallout 76 that fixes need to have the correct amount of time dedicated to them, otherwise it makes things worse.
Bear in mind though that these are only subtle fixes to improve on the game and in it’s current condition it’s still perfectly playable.
GRIP:Combat Racing is available now on PC as well as Switch, Xbox One and PS4.
