We’ve already praised Corsair on the site for the excellent offering that they’ve given us with their All In One Water Cooler. However, they’ve upped the ante with their latest release in the Hyrdo Series. There are the H115I Pro and the H150i Pro. Both of these offer great water cooling, for those that want to push their PC to the limits, especially when gaming.

As you’d expect, since this is a brand new offering, it’s going to be the best of the best when it comes to CPU cooling. It is part of the Hydro Pro series, and as you’d imagine, it has only one goal; to be the best when it comes to keeping the temperature of your CPU as low as possible.  It does this by employing the use of PWM. This is known as pulse width modulation. The benefit of this is that it alters the speed of the cooling fans as and when needing. In addition to this, there is a the ability for you to create your own fan curves. This in itself is something that a lot of brands do offer. However, this latest offering from Corsair is the best yet, with its efficient pump design.

In terms of mounting hardware, it supports a wide array of Intel and AMD CPU socket types. In the case of AMD, it supports AM4 which is used for Ryzen. This in itself is a great addition since there are still liquid coolers that aren’t supporting this socket type, without you having to buy additional mounting hardware. This in turn would result in you spending more money.

Both the H115 and the H150 come with the same feature set. However, there are two large differences. In the case of the H115, there it is a dual radiator water cooler (measuring 280mm) and with respect to the H150, it is a triple radiator measuring 360mm. As you’d expect, you’d get two and three fans respectively depending what option you go for.  These fans can also turn off completely in order to ensure that you’re getting the quietest operation possible.

There is of course the RGB aspect as well. These days RGB is added onto nearly every PC component. Corsair have therefore added the option into their software for you to change the lighting until your hearts content.

This is something you should take note of, especially if you have a mini ITX case since it may not be possible to fit the 360mm into the case. In both situations, there is also thermal paste pre-applied. If, though, you need to remove the cooler for whatever reason, you’ll need to re-apply this paste. We’ve included a great option below.

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound 3.5g Tube
  • Made With 99.9% Pure Silver: Arctic Silver 5 uses three unique shapes and sizes of pure silver particles to maximize particle-to-particle contact area and thermal transfer.
  • High-Density: Arctic Silver 5 contains over 88% thermally conductive filler by weight. In addition to micronized silver, Arctic Silver 5 also contains sub-micron zinc oxide, aluminum oxide and boron nitride particles. These thermally-enhanced ceramic particles improve the compound's performance and long-term stability.
  • Controlled Triple-Phase Viscosity: Arctic Silver 5 does not contain any silicone. The suspension fluid is a proprietary mixture of advanced polysynthetic oils that work together to provide three distinctive functional phases. As it comes from the syringe, Arctic Silver 5's consistency is engineered for easy application. During the CPU's initial use, the compound thins out to enhance the filling of the microscopic valleys and ensure the best physical contact between the heatsink and the CPU core. Then the compound thickens slightly over the next 50 to 200 hours of use to its final consistency designed for long-term stability.

Also, since you’ll more than likely be using your PC for gaming, have you thought about using Humble Bundle? You can get great games monthly for a flat rate of $12, buy individual games and even buy pre-made bundles at a low cost. Doing so also helps to support a wide array of charities.
